THE MINUTE BLUES WITH GUY ROEL
THE BOURLINGUEUR OF the BLUES

Been born in immediate post-war years in Alsace, Guy ROEL soaks from the childhood in the American music, with Germany and his bases U.S. all close relations.

Teenager it(he) already participates in the environment(middle) of the years 60 in the epic " rock n roll ", within two groups among which the one created with Gérard JELSH, the future drummer of the group ANGEL.

Man orchestrates unique(only), armed with a patch of metal and a suitcase he gives rhythm of his feet to a very personal game(set) of guitar [bass player for 22 years], and " a pleasant voice(vote) to damn a saint ".
This old man " bourlingueur of the Blues " who broke his ropes of the Baltic in Mozambique covers the history of the rural and urban Blues, Delta, Chicago, Piedmont, New Orleans, with a rare energy and a generosity. If you think of knowing the Blues to be a slow lamentation on three agreements, you go to change opinion.

It is in 1984 when Guy ROEL resumes the "road" as bluesman / man orchestrates occurring only, in duet or in trio. It is at random of the journeys which it(he) eventually found its(his) "way" and certain personal success [he who had always played for the others] who brings to occur him(it) on the European scenes.

It(he) participated in the festivals of Cahors 95, Cognac 97, Mulhouse 95-96-97-98-99, Leysin, Fribourg, Maputo 96, Saint Louis 93, Neuchâtel 99, Fresselines, Creusot on 2000 beside the American singer Lisa DOBY. But also in first part(party) of the wintry tour on 2000 of Calvin RUSSEL.

It(he) auto-produced and registered(recorded) the following albums:

" Blues sketches " on K7 - on 1987
" Live " in Lausanne CD - on 1993
" Blues Travels " CD - on 1996

" Spirits " - The third album autoproduced by Guy represents a real outcome in the career of the one that it is necessary well to call Alsatian Bluesman. Indeed although native of Belfort's territory the chap represents perfectly the Alsatian soil [Gaston Schmidt, his cashbook, bibalakas, delicious speciality cheese maker and the fruity Riesling wine of excellence!].
